Finals Week Study Break Craft Table
I had a ton of fun using the money from the book sale and drive to buy crafts for this craft table! In my opinion, making friendship bracelets and coloring Care Bears is the best way to relax from finals.
Yoga at the Library
For finals week we had yoga on the library lawn. The weather turned out beautiful!
Taste of the World
I had fun participating in this year’s Taste of the World event through the International Studies program. I was honored to be the first representative in this event from the library. So much yummy international food!
Money Smart Week
This year we tried Money Smart Week for the first time and I was able to get some great speakers from the community. This is me with a local banker who presented for us on basic banking. I also presented on using Mint.com and had a lot of fun talking with students about their financial goals!
Plagiarism Workshops
This semester I put together several plagiarism workshops based on faculty feedback. We spent a lot of time talking about why citing sources is important and made groups for some “human citations” (that was their favorite). Thanks to faculty offering extra credit for attendance, every single workshop was completely full!
Library Book Drive and Sale
Apparently this has been done at the GSW library in the past, but I thought it would be fun to bring back the library book sale. We had a lot of faculty and students donate their books, so the sale was really fantastic. All proceeds went to our awesome crafts table (see photos at the top).
Halloween at the Library
Every year the little kindergarteners tour campus getting treats for Halloween, bringing cuteness overload to the library. One of them complimented my wings. 🙂
James Earl Carter Library
I’m so lucky to work with such a fantastic staff at my library. They make my workday so fun!
Thank you to Bokshim Fox for providing many of these photos! She’s awesome! 😀
